The Ernie Pyle Legacy Foundation was established for the purpose of actively upholding and fostering ongoing recognition of the distinct contributions of war correspondent Ernie Pyle. The foundation will venture to create public awareness of the journalistic accomplishments of Ernie Pyle among generations of Americans and provide opportunities for ongoing dialogue among working journalists, students and the public.

Our Goals
Develop more educational opportunities to reach younger audiences.
Establish new funding platforms to support the Foundation's activities and programs.
Create a comprehensive anthology of all of Ernie's writings, from his early days as a reporter to his final days.
Develop relationships with national journalistic organizations such as the Society of Professional Journalists and College Media Association.
Create more awareness for the Ernie Pyle Legacy Foundation with articles and social media.
Establish a platform with the National Society of Newspaper Columnists and others to enhance Ernie Pyle Remembrance Day, April 18.
