National Ernie Pyle Day

Several years ago, the family of Ernie Pyle established the Ernie Pyle Legacy

Foundation to support and ensure the legacy of Ernie Pyle. After much research, the

Foundation determined a major benchmark was needed to honor Ernie Pyle and

continue his legacy.

The Ernie Pyle Legacy Foundation has established National Ernie Pyle Day on

August 3rd, Ernie’s birthday. A major event has been planned on August 3, 2017 to be

held at the NM Veteran’s Memorial in Albuquerque, NM, Ernie’s last home. National

Ernie Pyle Day has the support of many groups, especially the Ernie Pyle WWII

Museum in Dana and the World War II Museum in New Orleans. Save the date and

be part of this important event. Check out the program below.
